Application Timeline

Important Dates 

November 2

The Scholarship Application Page becomes available for creating and editing applications. Applicants may fill in information and upload files.

December 1

Scholarship applications may be submitted through the Scholarship Application Page.

January 25

Scan and email unofficial transcripts. Have recommenders email their scanned recommendation letters on letterhead. Be sure to include the recommendation form.

January 31

Scholarship deadline: any application materials received after this date, including electronic submissions, transcripts, and letters of recommendation will not be accepted or considered.

Early March (TBD)

Scholarship semifinalists will be notified of their advancing to the interview round, and will be scheduled for interviews by the scholarship selection committee in the beginning of March.

Mid March (TBD)

Scholarship semifinalist interviews: In-person interviews will be conducted for any semifinalist who lives within 50 miles of the George Washington University's main campus in Washington, DC. Semifinalists who live more than 50 miles away will be interviewed over Skype or will be reimbursed for their travel expenses for an in-person interview.

March 31

Scholarship finalists will be notified, and winners will be offered scholarships starting in Summer or Fall of next year.

April 15

Transfer student finalists will be noitified.

 

*proof of U.S. citizenship/U.S. permanent residency will be requested if awarded a scholarship.
